A word to describe my approach is organic, meaning I begin each session with the intention of allowing whatever thoughts or feelings are alive in the moment for you to lead where our work for the hour goes.  Theoretically, I am always holding a relational frame, meaning I trust the relationship between you and me as a safe vehicle through which to create change.  I also work psychodynamically, meaning I look at how events in your past may be affecting your psyche in the present.  And I invite the transpersonal into our work, meaning I explore how other aspects of your experience besides cognitive, such as somatic and spiritual, can contribute to your psychological health.

Some areas of focus in my work include:

  • Counseling individual adults and young adults
  • Couples counseling
  • Somatic awareness
  • Cultural identity

Some possible areas in which I can support you through our work together are:

  • Alleviating anxiety and stress
  • Handling depression
  • Understanding and working through challenges in your relationships
  • Grieving and dealing with loss
  • Integrating traumatic experiences
  • Motivation and self-esteem issues
